Or is it toddlerdom?
We are a mere 15 days from Buggaboo's first birthday. And as the BIG DAY approaches I find myself feeling contemplative about my sweet Bug and life as a parent. Every now and then-as I watch her playing happily with her toys and books, or giving us a taste of the musical delights of a wooden spoon against pots and pans, or intently investigating the leaves on our houseplants crushing them into oblivion, or carefully taking out the laundry we just folded piece by piece and shaking each garment with vigor, or enthusiastically kissing pooch with open mouthed kisses (yuck!)-I am struck with a rush of nostalgia for my little squishy brand new baby girl.
I cannot believe how this year has flown. It's terribly cliche and terribly true what "they" say. It seems like we blink and our kids are different people, they're older and growing up too fast. And this is only year one. Kid one.
So in honor of this momentous event I will take these first days of May to reflect back on this year: what we've learned, what we'll treasure, what we'd like to forget. All of it.
And so, without further ado...
